C.A.PICARD began to introduce a Compliance Management System (CMS) and to establish a centralised compliance organisation in 2015. The compliance organisation with the compliance committee is led by the central compliance officer, in-house lawyer Cordula Schönfeld, and reports directly to the Management Board of the parent company.
Following the introduction and establishment of the compliance organisation in Germany, the same process will be rolled out internationally, taking account of the structure of the subsidiaries. In this regard, regional compliance officers will help the national companies meet their responsibility for compliance in day-to-day business and counter possible risks with the appropriate means.
The prevention and oversight measures include the peer-review principle, the strict separation of executive and oversight systems as well as regular audits.
