C.A.PICARD® INTERNATIONAL

PLASTIC JAPAN Osaka 2026

C.A.PICARD® Japan participated in the PLASTIC JAPAN trade fair, one of the key exhibitions within the Highly Functional Material Week Osaka 2026, held from 13 to 15 May 2026. During the three-day event, approximately 31,000 visitors attended.

PLASTIC JAPAN is a major trade fair for the plastics industry, bringing together technologies across the full value chain - from raw materials and additives to moulding and processing equipment as well as recycling solutions. For C.A.PICARD® Japan, the exhibition provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen its presence in the market and highlight one of its key strengths: helping customers to address business challenges through our global expertise and resources.

We participated in the extrusion technology area of the exhibition and were pleased to welcome more than 70 highly interested visitors at our booth.

At this year’s show, in addition to our full lineup of components for twin-screw extruders, we featured the following highlights:

Barrel Camera:
We demonstrated our service with the BMD camera, which is used to inspect the inner surface of barrels. The clear visualisation of wear conditions inside the barrel attracted attention, as it allowed visitors to immediately understand the severity of wear and the need for repair or replacement. Since 2025, a new version has been introduced, which expands the measurable range from Ø 46 - 133 mm to Ø 200 mm and allows a single unit to inspect the inner diameters of even larger extruders.

FD System (Flexible Dismantling System):
To introduce the system, we presented a dedicated promotion video at the booth. The FD system is a device for twin-screw extruders, designed to dismantle screw elements safely and efficiently. As it helps to reduce the workload and improve the safety for operators, it drew particularly strong interest from production and maintenance personnel. In light of ongoing labour shortage at many factories, we expect a rising demand for the FD system as a practical solution for labour saving and improvement of productivity. As we have an FD unit on site and our engineers are available to provide hands-on demonstrations, we will continue to communicate its value to even more customers.

We were able to build valuable connections with interested visitors, and in some cases, discussions resulted in specific enquiries and follow-up meetings during the exhibition. We are following up with visitors and are encouraged by the positive responses received so far.

The next expo, IPF Tokyo, will be held from 1 to 5 December 2026.

We thank everyone who visited our booth and look forward to welcoming everyone again at the next expo in Tokyo.
